The Caretaker's Residence
The original caretaker's house was built in 1994-95, in honor of Frank and Nettie Waggoner of Canyon, Texas . The dedication took place on a rainy day during second session in 1995. After a 2002 fire destroyed the first Waggoner house, donors and camp supporters ralleyed to fund its reconstruction. Denton and Beth Wiggans live here year-round. The house is situated in a very prominent place on the camp grounds. It is directly in front of the entrance road and the road to the Tecolote and Blue Canyon's housing areas. From the second floor windows all areas of the camp grounds can be seen.
