The Grave of Pop Farley
"Pop" Farley was the first director of Camp Blue Haven. He served for ten years, 1957 through 1966. Many of the traditions of Blue Haven began with him. When he died in 1974, he was buried on Pansy Peak, said to be his favorite place at Blue Haven.
The classic slogan attributed to Pop Farley was, "You don't have to wash dishes, you get to." That slogan was adapted to "He didn't have to serve God, he got to." for the marker on his grave. A most fitting tribute!
